Recipe Notes
Bread – This recipe works best with softer bread loaves like Ciabatta, Vienna, or a standard white loaf, rather than a dense sourdough. Flatter loaves are also better than taller ones to get an optimal bread-to-butter ratio. While it works with sourdough, the softer breads are my personal preference for this recipe.
Cheese – You can use mozzarella or any other cheese that melts well, such as provolone or Monterey Jack.
